Love is when

love is when

the dancer becomes unbalanced

the scholar forgets

the preacher reflect within himself

when hearts and souls connect

love is when

solitude is anguish

popularity turns into loneliness

the brave begin to sweat

when purposes become obvious

love is when

eyes say more than mouths

and limbs turn into jelly

when lips quiver

the rich are burdened

and the quiet demand respect

love is when

I found myself at conflict

I no longer wrote a word

I lost all sight of fame and riches

when I reclaimed my soul

  1. Intriguing! Have just begun to explore your poetry but am hooked now! Thanks a ton for following my “Randa Lane…” blog, now devoted predominantly to haiku. Drop by anytime..we would be honored.
